The Stone Collection: “Stone Therapy” Ad in Utah Style & Design
As a freelance graphic designer, I was commissioned by The Stone Collection to design and execute a full-page advertisement that was published in the April 2024 issue of Utah Style & Design magazine. My role involved the entire creative process, including photography, photo rendering, and final layout, with the goal of positioning the stone as a source of personal sanctuary for the luxury residential market. I created an immersive mood by featuring a close-up image of the dramatic Tempest Blue Quartzite used as a wall feature behind a relaxing lounge chair, leveraging the tagline “STONE THERAPY“ to emphasize the emotional benefit of the material.
The project successfully demonstrates my ability to conceptualize, photograph, and produce refined, high-end print advertising tailored to the aesthetic standards of regional luxury publications.
The Stone Collection: Denver Life Magazine Ad
As a freelance graphic designer, I was commissioned by The Stone Collection to create a full-page advertisement that was published in the January 2024 issue of Denver Life magazine, targeting the affluent Colorado residential market. My role involved both the photography, photo rendering, and the complete layout design. The objective was to hero the dramatic, book-matched veining of Sartorin Granite by showcasing it as a sophisticated wall feature behind a custom teal velvet sofa, immediately conveying an image of high-end luxury interior design. The ad utilizes the tagline “A CUT ABOVE” and highlights the client’s expansive inventory of over 50,000 slabs for credibility.
This project successfully demonstrates my ability to conceptualize, photograph, and produce refined, print-ready advertising that aligns perfectly with the aesthetic and high standards of regional luxury publications.
The Stone Collection: Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine Ad
As a freelance graphic designer, I was commissioned by The Stone Collection to design and photograph a full-page advertisement for the January 2024 issue of Phoenix Home & Garden magazine. The goal was to create a high-end ad tailored for the Southwestern luxury market, positioning the client as the source for materials to create a sophisticated “home retreat.” My design focused on a powerful, close-up image of the textured black Aspen stone vanity, styled minimally to convey modern serenity. The ad uses the strong headline “YOU’VE ARRIVED!” and features the client’s impressive inventory count of over 50,000 slabs to emphasize both the emotional reward and the vast product choice.
This successful project demonstrates my ability to manage the entire creative process—including photography, photo rendering, and layout—and tailor branded content to the specific aesthetic and high standards of regional luxury publications.
The Stone Collection: Mountain Living Magazine Ad
As a freelance graphic designer, I was commissioned by The Stone Collection to create a full-page advertisement that was published in the May 2023 issue of Mountain Living magazine. My role encompassed the photography, photo rendering, and the complete layout design. The objective was to position the client as a luxury stone supplier to a high-end audience of architects and homeowners, specifically showcasing the dramatic veining of Splendido Quartzite in a rustic-modern home setting. I designed the clean, elegant layout to emphasize the stone itself, utilizing the aspirational headline “UNSEASONABLY STYLISH” and ensuring all necessary product details and location information were seamlessly integrated.
The final piece successfully met the magazine’s strict print specifications and effectively targeted the publication’s discerning readership, demonstrating my ability to manage the entire creative process from concept to final print-ready output for luxury brands.
